Day 1… 20th March 2016
Brighton Library, Wilson Street, Brighton 12.45pm – 2.30pm
School Yearbook Photography.
After auditions and casting had been completed we organised photographs that appear in the school yearbook that Jarrod keeps in his dresser drawer. The day went very well, with Marie-Clare Anastasia, who plays Stephanie, and Thomas Clare, who plays Jarrod, along with actors and extras aged from 13 to 30 appearing as high school students in class and individual photos.
Staff and patrons at Brighton Library were wonderful and very hospitable. Photographer, Raphael Chan, was very professional and the photographs were perfect. Raphael set up artificial lighting, but the natural light coming through the windows was ideal, so we didn’t require the flash.
For the group photo we set up the class in front of a church wall next to the library, in two rows, with seven of the shorter students in front sitting down, and the six taller students in the rear. Stephanie, played by Marie-Clare Anastasia, is seated in the direct front centre, and Jarrod, played by Thomas Caine, is standing behind her and to her left.
All actors and extras were awesome. They waited patiently while others had their individual photographs taken, and worked well with the director and the photographer.

Having scouted around Daylesford for several locations with Ria Tyron, our location scout, our Director, Brenton Foale, was invited to talk at the Daylesford Rotary Club about the film.

In the film, 'Dean' (Jay Bardon) carries a photograph of his daughter, 'Stephanie', who he hasn't seen since she was a baby 18 years earlier. When he sees Stephanie again, he recognises her from the photo because she is the spitting image of her mother at the same age.
Marie-Clare Anastasia, who plays Stephanie, posed for photographs as Stephanie's mother to provide the look-alike image.

Day 7...4th June 2016 (part 2)
The second scene we filmed for the Iniquitous teaser trailer involves Colbert, played by Gary Wall, to contemplate the end of his life at his own hands. Colbert is suffering severe guilt, and sees no way out but to end his life.

During filming, fight scenes need to be carefully choreogrpahed to avoid actors, or stunt men, being seriously hurt. In this video, fight coordinator Cris Cochrane instructs Jay Bardon (Dean) and Tobias Lewis (Jarrod) in fighting for screen, and helps choreograph one of the fight scenes that the boys find themselves in.

Day 10...12th June 2016 (part 2)
Part 2 of day two of filming the teaser trailer for Iniquitous involved filming the scenes showing Fiona, played by Stephanie Schrieber, who narrates the teaser trailer. These scenes were filmed on the rooftop carpark of The Grand Hotel, in Spencer Street in Melbourne.

A meeting was held with music composers Darren Middleton, and Simon Walbrook, and our director Brenton Foale, to discuss soundscapes for the movie. The meeting lasted an hour. Here are the highlights.

Our Location Scout, Ria Tyron, and our Director, Brenton Foale, visited the Savoia Hotel in Daylesford, which is the location for Bronski's Hotel in the movie. Bronski's Hotel is where Tony Bronski sells his guns, drugs and women from.

Brenton Foale, our Director, and Ria Tyron, our Location Scout, spent the day looking at parks, lakes, cemeteries, and disused hospitals for locations for the film. They were also entertained by the local bird life in Daylesford.

Day 7...4th June 2016 (part 1)
Today we started filming scenes for the teaser trailer for Iniquitous. We filmed two scenes, and this is the first scene. Dean, played by Jay Bardon, is standing on a footbridge reflecting on some bad news, and watching a mother and child playing near a creek. The mother is played by Jasmine Purches, and the child is played by Scarlett Purches.

Table reads are an important part of a feature film production. Cast sit in a room, often at a table, and read through the screenplay. Rather than bore you with all the cast sitting around reading, we thought it would be best to have highlights on film, and still photographs, just to introduce the cast to you all.

Day two of filming the teaser trailer for Iniquitous involved Marie-Clare Anastasia, as Stephanie, entering a bank with a gun with intentions of committing an armed robbery. This was filmed on Sunday 12th June, 2016, in Brighton while the bank was closed.

The final scene filmed for the teaser trailer involved Tobias Lewis, as Jarrod, and his obsession with Stephanie, played by Marie-Clare Anastasia. We wanted to give a creepy feel to the trailer, with Jarrod's obsession, and believe we have managed to do just that in this scene.
